Year 13 Photography
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
- To develop a personal photographic style based on the study of established photography practice
- A variety of approaches to drawing and photography
- To generate, develop, clarify, extend and regenerate a thematically linked body of work in photography
HOW IS THE COURSE ASSESSED?
3 Level 3 Achievements Standards – 22 credits
2 internally assessed make up 8 credits
1 externally assessed makes up 14 credits

Recommended Prior Learning
WHAT SHOULD I HAVE ALREADY DONE?
- You should have gained at least 16 credits in Level 2 Visual Arts.
- Other students will be admitted at the discretion of the HOD and on the grounds of their ability to demonstrate artistic ability
- Students taking more than one visual art subject will need HOD Art approval.
- Students will have an interest in contemporary visual communication and are willing to work with computer programmes

WHAT ARE THE COURSE COSTS?
There are no cost costs for 13 Photography
It is helpful if students have access to a digital camera.
It is expected that you have a personal laptop with the appropriate processing speed (capable of downloading and running Adobe software) as NGHS computer access cannot be guaranteed at all times. We endeavour to provide access in class times.
