Increase vocabulary base and sentence structures
Increase knowledge of tikanga
Develop discussion skills in a variety of kaupapa
Develop research skills

Standards are yet to be released, but we assume they will follow the revised Level 1 standards.
5 Level 2 Achievement Standards –22 (28) credits
2 internally (+ 1 optional) assessed make up 10 (16) credits
2 externally assessed make up 12 credits
