Course Description

Year 12 Accounting
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Understand the organisation of business based around accounting systems
Process financial data both manually and on the computer and report this information
Understand GST in business
Recognise the role of accounting in society
A practical knowledge of how accounting is used in businesses with field trips to various enterprises.
HOW IS THE COURSE ASSESSED?
5 Level 2 Achievement Standard – 19 credits
3 internally assessed make up 10 credits
2 externally assessed make up 9 credits
Students will do part learning for a Level 3 Standard

Level 1 Commerce. Otherwise special entry in consultation with Mr Mannering HOL - request an exemption.

It is highly recommended to purchase the workbooks for this subject. Copies will be available for students to use, however, only personal copies may be written on. If you choose to purchase your own copy, the workbook cost will be approximately $25.
